Who we are?
Vivid Change is the first online community dedicated specifically to service and bringing real change to the world. We are making it easy and fun for people to get involved and make a difference.

What we do?
We believe in questioning the status quo of charity. We're a community that is learning about and testing the solutions' to today's problems. Money, profit, and income don't cut it here; we're creating metrics, measurements, and values on which to judge charity. Our end goal is to learn what works and what doesn't- Our Purpose as a community is to solve the #1 problem of service; what works and what doesn't???
How we do it?
2nd - We discuss the current solutions involved with that problem.
3rd - We vote on what we feel is the most promising solutions for that problem.
4th - We choose and fund*** project(s).
5th - We follow up on our past projects.
6th - As we find solutions that show a lot of promise we will set up micro-accounts, push that solution for a set period of time and then re-evaluate to see how it's doing.
7th - We Have fun… We'll have drawings every month for scholarships****, local charity picks*****, and more.
*Decisions at Vivid Change will be made by the members through online polls(which problems, charities, projects, etc).
** Vivid Change will be involved in all problems across the entire spectrum of world issues.
*** Funding at Vivid Change for our projects come from the community fund(the $2.50 that each member pays)
**** Along with looking out for others, we also believe in how important it is to look out for our members as well. We'll offer things like scholarships so that we can help you guys better your lives as you help others better theirs.
***** local charity pick is the chance for a member to choose a charity of their liking and Vivid Change will make a donation to them on your behalf.
Why we do it?
We believe in two things. First we believe that people have a lot bigger need for service and it's associated benefits in their lives.
Second we believe that through our efforts we will be able to make a real impact on the world. Not from the 0.0000001% of all donations that originate from our community, but from the impact our research will have on the other 99.9999999% of all donations out there.
How to get started?
Getting started is simple. First you register with Vivid Change. If you already have a facebook account this only takes two seconds by clicking on the Facebook link at the top, then clicking allow, and you're done. If you don't have a facebook account you can click on the register link at the top and set things up from there. Second step is to set up your $2.50 monthly donation through paypal. After you've registered and logged in to Vivid Change you will see a message with a link to follow. If you don't already have a paypal account that's ok, you only need a credit card or bank account and Paypal will help you get set up.
Third step is to spread the word. Join our groups on Facebook and Twitter, tell your friends, share the videos, etc. Because our donation size is so small, our impact comes from being able to bring in lots of people to share in the experience.

What if I'm not the active, online community type of person?
Vivid Change has been designed for all types of internet users. You can be more involved by being active with the discussions; less involved by just participating in the voting; or even less involved by simply setting up your account, and then just taking a glance at the newsletter every month to see what you have helped accomplish each month by being apart of the Vivid Change community. Everybody will be just as important and needed through this process, and everyone is invited and encouraged to join. The more people we have, the more projects we fund, the more lives we change, and the faster we learn about what it is going to take to really change the world.
